*Gingerbread Love* and a Cyber Sale!

Graphics by The 3am Teacher
Happy almost Thanksgiving friends!  You won't want to miss the huge
Cyber Monday + Bonus Tuesday Sale on TPT! Everything in my TPT store will be 20 % off
PLUS with the promo code CMT12 you'll save an additional 10%!
So...sneak on over after dinner and start filling your shopping cart!
While you're there, take a look at my little *labor of gingerbread love* I've been working
on for a while now.  This big bundle includes everything I use for my gingerbread unit the
entire month of December! It includes comparing and analyzing activites for any versions of The Gingerbread Man you have available along with reading strategies, opinion writing, 4 literacy centers, a day-long data and graphing project, graphic organizers (color and b&w )
and of course lots of craftivities!
It even includes a build-a-gingerbread house unit folder with all the templates to keep your kiddos organized!  I've included two versions of handwriting lines and
color and black & white graphic organizers.

I have so many favorites in this unit it's hard to choose, but here are a few I really love!

Students use Gingerbread Book Talk with a partner to form and answer questions about books they are reading during our gingerbread unit.  I have them use the question starter cards at first then play without the cards as they become more skilled at forming their own questions.  This can be used with any book as the questions are not book specific.
The Gingerbread Man Escape Preventioin Manual
Students write four different plans for preventing the Gingerbread Man from escaping!
The things my kids came up with are just hysterical!
Here's my favorite from last year...
Put lasers in front of the door!
The Gingerbread Man Loose in the School inferring to identify character traits
The Gingerbread Man Loose in the School is my new favorite version of The Gingerbread Man!
It lends itself to so-o-o many Common Core standards!  With this, kiddos make inferences  to identify and label character traits then write about what they can infer about the traits of the character. Then they get to make this cute little character craft!
The Gingerbread Cowboy candy cane cactus ornament
My kids love these!  After reading The Gingerbread Cowboy we make these
candy cane cactus ornaments.  You can't tell from the picture but the needles are bright green.
Don't forget to stop by my TPT store during the Cyber Sale and get yourself some *gingerbread love*!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

  5. Linda - you are truly amazing!! Hope your sale has been going well! You deserve it! Kind of random, but I was peeking at my email subscribers on feedburner tonight and yours stood out to me because it looked different than the rest because it said unverified...then I saw that you spelled your name lidna instead of linda on your email address. Just wanted to let you know in case you'd like to fix it. Best wishes to you!!!
