I'm linking up with Doodle Bug's Teaching for Five for Friday!
Here's a few things from our first week back!
I made these little notebooks for my team for our MANY back to school meetings!
I used these sweet little frames from Ashley Hughes and I found the notebooks at
Fry's grocery store. It may be called Kroger,
Baker's, Dillons, or Fred Meyer where you live.
You can click {HERE} to download the Meeting Notes labels to make these for
your team. I'm going to apologize
in advance for not including an editable one for you to make the names of your teammates.
I'm just so swamped that I'm lucky to have gotten this far! Ha!
I'm sure you can all relate!
I used 8 inch paper plates from Wal-Mart to make the grapes. I scrunched up bulletin board paper
to make the stem and leaves then wrapped a pipe cleaner around a pencil to make the little tendrils.
I wrote each student's name on a plate then took pictures on the first day to add them to our
new "bunch"! I typed the lettering on a word doc then printed them onto
construction paper. Call me OCD, but I then glued them to a bigger piece in a second color and
trimmed around them leaving a border of the second color showing. My kids loved it!
My kiddos used math to describe themselves to their new classmates!

I grew up in the Cincinnati area and Skyline Chili is one of the things I miss most!
After years of loading up my suitcase every time I visited Cincinnati, I found it at
Wal-mart of all places!! I literally did a happy dance in the isle!!
You've probably already heard there's a fabby new blog
with ideas and inspiration for second and third grade teachers!
Check out the Back to School Sale linky over
at Owl-ways Be Inspired! You can find your favorite 2/3 teacher stores there
just in time for the sale!

Oh my goodness... you have been busy! I LOVE your bulletin board - so cute and creative. The "Math about Me" is also fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI have pinned both.
Have a great week 2 and try to stay cool. We are in the 105's here in Tucson so I'm guessing you are quite a bit hotter in Phoenix.

Cindy, I actually fried an egg on the sidewalk yesterday! I did an experiment and took pics for a friend and it worked! We had 114 degrees on Saturday and as you know, that's not even close to how hot it can get this time of year! Ha!
DeleteHave a great week friend!
Did you print the "meeting notes" on sticker paper or did you use modge podge on that area?
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah,
DeleteI used Modge Podge. Hope your teammates like them!
Thank you for the labels! I made these for my team for our 1st team meeting yesterday, and they loved them!
ReplyDeleteDo you remember how you posted these, did you tape or clue? I know it has been a while, but I'm hoping you remember. haha
DeleteThank you for the adorable team meeting labels...so cute! I used to do that "Bunch" bulletin board years ago and loved it...but I love how you used purple paper plates! So clever...I used to use purple construction paper circles.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your labels - so helpful!
