Now that my classroom is (almost) in full swing and
beginning to to run a bit more smoothly, we'll soon
be spending some time in our computer lab. I'm in complete
back to school decorating mode so I thought I'd share
a few tips for sprucing up your lab and
taking it from drab to FAB!
Like most teachers, I like to spend my time at school
in a room that makes me happy. Our drab little lab
needed some TLC to brighten it up and add some pizzazz!
I wanted to tie in all the black monitors and chairs
in our lab so a chalkboard theme seemed just the thing!
To make it bright and beautiful I used
from Carson Dellosa. (You can use my
referral links above to find them on Amazon
and if you have Prime you get fast, free shipping!)
I added this bright, bold board to highlight our lab rules posters
with the two-sided border and matching letters.
with the two-sided border and matching letters.
With some pop-out computer keys for effect!
Next, I made it cozy with some curtains!
I hung a 15 inch strip of black butcher paper around the top
of the window then used rolled tape to adhere a piece of
border to give it some pizzazz!
Add a few bright containers with pencils and scrap paper...
I love the mix of patterns with the primary colors and brights!
I've had a lot of teachers ask about where to find
the computer lab rules posters. They're part of a
complete computer lab management system available
in my shop on TeachersPayTeachers, but you can also
purchase the editable poster set separately.
This time-saving technology management system includes
everything you need to organize and smoothly run
your lab or your technology classroom.
I've included editable forms for managing logins,
device checkout, computer centers, labels,
posters, 2 displays and a super fun
Bitcoin Behavior System. Kind of like
behavior bucks but better! It's behavior
management for for the digital age!
No go on! Get organized and take your
computer lab from drab to fab!
Have a fantastic school year, friends! May you spend
your days in a classroom that makes you happy!

I absolutely love your 3D letters! They look like computer keys. My brain is spinning on where to do that!!!
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL! I am curious...where did you get the signs for your lab rules? I looked on the Carson-Dellosa site and they don't have the backgrounds you have. Did you get them somewhere else or did you make those yourself? They are really nice!
