Science Interactive Notebooks from Carson-Dellosa

Unless you've been hiding under a rock you know that

interactive notebooks are all the rage.  A fun way to teach and 

reinforce effective note taking skills, they also help students 

learn organization, color coding, summarizing, and other 

important skills while creating personalized portfolios of 

their learning.

I recently received Science Interactive Notebooks for Grade 2
from Carson-Dellosa.  As a Carson-Dellosa Brand Ambassador,
I get to choose great resources to review and try out in my classroom.

These notebook pages for temperature and clouds are the perfect

supplement for our upcoming weather unit.  There is also a

water cycle activity.

I always appreciate a resource book that is geared specifically to

my grade level.  How many times have you purchased a book 

only to find that there are just a few activities that you can use?

This science resource includes 33 interactive notebooking 

activities for second grade life science, physical science, and 

earth & space science concepts, all of which I teach! 

Whether you have your students color their own pages,

or you copy on colored paper,

the simple format makes the pieces easy to cut. Students

 can organize information and show what they know 

through written responses.

Here's my favorite part...I was delighted to discover 

that the book also includes 20+ pages of a variety 

of templates and tabs in all shapes and sizes.  

Simply add your own content, like I did with this generic 

8-flap template, to customize and create 

your own notebook pages.

The best part? You can use the blank templates 

for any subject! Although the templates include puzzles, 

pockets, shapes and shutter folds, and accordions 

and cards, I especially like your basic flap book for 

vocabulary, spelling, and phonics practice.
